ROAD ALERT UPDATE
This ROAD ALERT UPDATE was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.
COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:
Green Boulevard just west of Collier Boulevard - On Green Boulevard just west of Collier Boulevard expect traffic both westbound and eastbound to be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction intermittently on Thursday, March 24 OVERNIGHT between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting, as crews perform utility work as part of the Collier Boulevard Improvements Project which is scheduled to be completed in early winter of 2017. Additionally, expect intermittent lane closures both southbound and northbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, between Green Boulevard and Golden Gate Boulevard. Motorists are advised to stay alert and drive with care. The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph on Collier Boulevard from Green Boulevard to Golden Gate Boulevard. Flagmen, as needed, electronic message boards, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.
WORK BY OTHERS:
Goodlette-Frank Road just south of Pine Ridge Road – On Goodlette- Frank Road northbound expect a short segment of the right turn lane onto Pine Ridge Road to be closed on Wednesday, March 23 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews working for Florida Power and Light perform maintenance on a light pole. Drivers will continue to be able to use the right turn lane. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.
