44 - Collier County Declares Civil Emergency
Collier County declared a civil emergency at 6 a.m. this morning as tropical storm force wind gusts began blowing into the County. The Bureau of Emergency Management asked that all Collier County residents shelter in place until after the storm passes.
Tropical storm winds are considered to be 39 mph to 73 mph.
Collier County emergency vehicles will be pulled from the road at 7 a.m.
