A Message From Sheriff Rambosk

Post Date:09/26/2017 12:45 PM
Here is an important message to the community and CCSO members from Sheriff Rambosk:

All Collier County Residents and CCSO Members,

As all of us continue moving forward to get back to some sense of normalcy, it’s important to remember those who still face significant challenges. It’s also important that we recognize and thank those residents, businesses and all of our CCSO members who worked together for the good of all in our community during this historic and tragic event.

In the last few days I have been out in the community speaking with residents, business owners and our own members. Our CCSO role is always clear: protect, serve and support our community. In Collier County, so many residents and businesses took it upon themselves to assist their neighbors in so many ways. Neighbors helped neighbors by checking on entire blocks of people, offering food, water and then debris clean-up help. Generous and caring people befriended strangers by offering the same. Residents and business owners showed immense appreciation for the first responders and utility workers working so hard to help us recover and restore our community. It was particularly heartwarming to see the many hometown hurricane hero stories posted on our Collier County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page over the last several days by community members. I encourage you to read them.

Disasters are challenging for any community and there are still many residents that need help to rebuild their lives in Collier County. In our community we have experienced the best of what can be done by working in partnership with one another.

On behalf of the men and women of Collier County Sheriff’s Office I would like to thank everyone in Collier County for your participation and support for our agency members and residents alike before, during and after Hurricane Irma.
To our CCSO members, I could not be more proud of the dedication and commitment you demonstrated in serving and keeping our community as safe as possible during Hurricane Irma. Your bravery and courage, compassion and resilience, combined with your leadership and persistence define you all as role models and heroes. This is true “service to others before self.”

Our long-standing philosophy of working in partnership with residents, businesses, schools, government agencies, non-profit agencies, neighborhoods and all of public safety has never been more important than it is today in keeping our community safe.

This is exactly why I have and will always believe that together our collective strong sense of community, our mission of safety and our spirit of service is what keeps Collier County a great and safe place.

Tnx 452
