Rural Lands Stewardship Area Restudy Workshop
Thursday, March 22, 2018
The Collier County Growth Management Department’s Planning and Zoning Division continues to seek input from community members for the Rural Lands Stewardship Area (RLSA) Restudy. The last two public workshops provided introductory material. The next workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 at the North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall, 15000 Livingston Road, Naples, Florida 34109. The March meeting will include a discussion on the history and future of agriculture and will seek input from those in attendance. The existing provisions in Group Policies can be found at: http://www.colliercountyfl.gov/your-government/divisions-a-e/comprehensive-planning/rural-land-stewardship-area-rlsa-overlay-program. This meeting will also accommodate all members of the public who wish to share their thoughts.
The RLSA is an area surrounding the Immokalee urban area, comprising approximately 195,000 acres. Subsequent meetings will consider group Policies 3 through 5, as well as topics on infrastructure and water resources. Please consult our meetings webpage for updates to meeting times and related information at: https://www.colliercountyfl.gov/your-government/divisions-s-z/zoning-division/community-planning-section/rural-lands-stewardship-area-restudy/rural-lands-stewardship-area-restudy-pub/-fsiteid-1.
Agendas will be posted on the meetings website above prior to each meeting. This website also includes background materials, current planning efforts and areas for public input so that the restudy team can capture the preferences and concerns of all citizens and stakeholders.
Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners, City of Naples City Council, the City of Marco Island City Council and any of their respective advisory committees may be present and may participate at the workshop. The subject matter of this workshop may be an item for discussion and action at future meetings of these boards, councils, committees and agencies.
