ROAD ALERT

This ROAD ALERT was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.

COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

95th Avenue North between Vanderbilt Drive and US 41 – On 95th Avenue North between Vanderbilt Drive and US 41 expect intermittent lane closures reducing traffic at times to ONE LANE ONLY for approximately 10 months, with both daytime and overnight hours, weather permitting, as crews perform a utility renewal project in Naples Park. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Golden Gate Boulevard between 8th Street SE and 10th Street SE – On Golden Gate Boulevard between 8th Street SE and 10th Street SE expect eastbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning Monday, Feb. 4 and continuing through Friday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, while crews repair guardrails. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades will be used to assist drivers in this area.

Gulf Park Drive between Pelican Bay Boulevard and US 41 – On Gulf Park Drive between Pelican Bay Boulevard and US 41 expect both eastbound and westbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction beginning Friday, Feb. 8 and continuing through Monday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Immokalee Road and Laurel Lakes Boulevard – At the Immokalee Road and Laurel Lakes Boulevard intersection expect intermittent lane closures in all directions through Friday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews perform maintenance on the traffic signal poles. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Immokalee Road at Shark Way (Gulf Coast High School) – At the Immokalee Road and Shark Way intersection expect intermittent lane closures in all directions through Friday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue maintenance on traffic signal poles. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Oakmont Parkway between Pelican Bay Blvd. and Greentree Drive – On Oakmont Parkway between Pelican Bay Blvd. and Greentree Drive expect traffic to be reduced to ONE LANE ONLY beginning Monday, Feb. 4 and continuing for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs, and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Pine Ridge Road and Logan Boulevard Intersection – On Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard expect  intermittent lane closures weekdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for approximately five months as crews continue installation of stormwater drainage structures and piping, extend the eastbound through lane another 2,000 feet, and widen the intersection to include dual left turn lanes for westbound to southbound traffic as part of the Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard Intersection Improvements Project.  In addition, on Wednesday, Feb. 6 expect the westbound right turn lane to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, while crews pour sidewalk.  Drivers wanting to turn right will be allowed to do so from the adjacent through lane. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Radio Road at Corporate Square/Bonnie Street – On Radio Road at Corporate Square/Bonnie Street expect the westbound left turn lane through the median to remain closed for approximately three months for a traffic study. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.

Rattlesnake Hammock Road between Collier Boulevard and US 41 – On Rattlesnake Hammock Road between Collier Boulevard and US 41 expect intermittent westbound lane closures in short segments beginning Monday, Feb. 4 and continuing through Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews repair sidewalks. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Ridge Street between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road – Expect Ridge Street between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road to be CLOSED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC for approximately 10 months, weather permitting, as crews continue work on the West Goodlette-Frank Road Joint Stormwater-Sewer Project perform utility and roadway improvements.  Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Vanderbilt Drive between 91st Avenue North and 106th Avenue North Expect Vanderbilt Drive between 96th Avenue North and 97th Avenue North to be CLOSED. A detour route has been posted. For the remainder of the project area on Vanderbilt Drive between 91st Avenue North and 106th Avenue North ONLY LOCAL TRAFFIC IS BEING PERMITTED, as crews continue installation of new water mains and stormwater drainage structures. 6th Street has been posted as the detour route. Project completion is expected by end of July 2019. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist drivers in this area.

White Boulevard between Weber Boulevard and 31st Street SW – On White Boulevard between Weber Boulevard and 31st Street SW near the Cypress Canal expect intermittent lane closures sometimes reducing traffic to ONE LANE ONLY from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, for approximately two weeks as crews working on the Cypress Canal Bridge Replacement Project progress toward completion. Drivers are advised to stay alert, use caution and obey all traffic signs when traveling in this area. The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph through the construction zone. This project is expected to be completed in approximately one month. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs, barrier wall and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

WORK BY OTHERS:

Goodlette-Frank Road between 1st Avenue South and 3rd Avenue South – On Goodlette-Frank Road between 1st Avenue South and 3rd Avenue South expect traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes beginning on Monday, Feb. 4 and continuing through Wednesday, Feb 6, weather permitting, as crews working for the City of Naples remove old sidewalk and replace with new wider sidewalk.  Pedestrians will be directed to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the roadway. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Goodlette-Frank Road between Central Avenue and 3rd Avenue North – On Goodlette-Frank Road between Central Avenue and 3rd Avenue North expect southbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes for approximately three weeks from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, while crews performing construction at the Neighborhood Health Clinic, 121 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples, add curbing and other needed items next to the roadway. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.
