  ROAD ALERT

This ROAD ALERT was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.

COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

10th Street North and Cooper Drive between Frank Whiteman Boulevard and Illinois Drive – On 10th Street North between Frank Whiteman Boulevard and Illinois Drive expect intermittent lane closures sometimes reducing traffic to ONE LANE ONLY for approximately one month, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, as crews perform utility and roadway improvements as part of the West Goodlette-Frank Road Joint Stormwater-Sewer Project. Also, a detour has been posted advising 10th Street North traffic may use 12th Street via Illinois Drive and Frank Whiteman Boulevard. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message boards, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

95th Avenue North between Vanderbilt Drive and US 41 – On 95th Avenue North between Vanderbilt Drive and US 41 expect intermittent lane closures reducing traffic at times to ONE LANE ONLY for approximately nine months, with both daytime and overnight hours, weather permitting, as crews perform a utility renewal project in Naples Park. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area. 

Bow Line Drive at Bow Line Bend Road – On Bow Line Drive at Bow Line Bend Road expect eastbound and westbound lanes to be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC on Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Thursday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as workers prune trees. Advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist drivers in the area.

Gulf Park Drive between Pelican Bay Boulevard and US 41 – On Gulf Park Drive between Pelican Bay Boulevard and US 41 expect both eastbound and westbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction through Monday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue work to mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Immokalee Drive between Carson Road and N. 15th Street (in Immokalee) – On Immokalee Drive between Carson Road and N. 15th Street in Immokalee expect eastbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes to ONE LANE ONLY through Friday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue stormwater system maintenance. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Immokalee Road at Creek Hollow Lane – On Immokalee Road at Creek Hollow Lane expect eastbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes through Friday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue work to construct a right turn lane. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Immokalee Road and Laurel Lakes Boulevard – At the Immokalee Road and Laurel Lakes Boulevard intersection expect intermittent lane closures in all directions through Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews perform maintenance on the traffic signal poles. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Oakmont Parkway between Pelican Bay Blvd. and Greentree Drive – On Oakmont Parkway between Pelican Bay Blvd. and Greentree Drive expect traffic to be reduced to ONE LANE ONLY through Monday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue work to mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs, and barricades to assist travelers in this area. 

Pine Ridge Road and Airport Road Intersection - On Pine Ridge Road at Airport Road expect westbound traffic to be reduced OVERNIGHT from three lanes to two lanes for approximately two weeks from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting, as crews remove and reconstruct the median as part of the Pine Ridge Road at Airport Road Intersection Improvements Project. Additional work to occur over the next six months includes extending the westbound left turn lane 300 feet to allow more capacity for vehicles in the dual left turn lanes for westbound to southbound traffic. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Pine Ridge Road and Logan Boulevard Intersection – On Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures OVERNIGHT from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for approximately two weeks, weather permitting, as crews construct a turn lane. In addition, over the next five months crews will continue installation of stormwater drainage structures and piping, extend the eastbound through lane another 2,000 feet, and widen the intersection to include dual left turn lanes for westbound to southbound traffic as part of the Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard Intersection Improvements Project.  Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.  

Radio Road at Corporate Square/Bonnie Street – On Radio Road at Corporate Square/Bonnie Street expect the westbound left turn lane through the median to remain closed for approximately two months through mid-April, for a traffic study. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.

Rattlesnake Hammock Road between St. Andrews Boulevard and Grand Lely Drive – On Rattlesnake Hammock Road between St. Andrews Boulevard and Grand Lely Drive expect intermittent eastbound lane closures reducing eastbound traffic at times to one lane through Friday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue stormwater system maintenance.  Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, electronic message signs, advance warning signs, rolling truck with signage, and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Ridge Street between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road – Expect Ridge Street between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road to be CLOSED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC for approximately five months, weather permitting, as crews continue work on the West Goodlette-Frank Road Joint Stormwater-Sewer Project perform utility and roadway improvements. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Vanderbilt Beach Road between Goodlette-Frank Road and Airport Road – On Vanderbilt Beach Road between Goodlette-Frank Road and Airport Road expect intermittent eastbound lane closures reducing traffic at times to one eastbound travel lane beginning Monday, Feb. 18 and continuing through Friday, March 8 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., weather permitting, as delivery vehicles unload materials and access the Vanderbilt Beach Wall Replacement Project site. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Vanderbilt Drive between 91st Avenue North and 106th Avenue North Expect Vanderbilt Drive between 91th Avenue North and 106th Avenue North to be CLOSED. A detour route has been posted. For the remainder of the project area on Vanderbilt Drive between 101st Avenue North and 102nd Avenue North ONLY LOCAL TRAFFIC IS BEING PERMITTED, as crews continue installation of new water mains and stormwater drainage structures. 6th Street N. has been posted as the detour route. Project completion is expected by end of July 2019. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist drivers in this area.

WORK BY OTHERS:

Goodlette-Frank Road between Central Avenue and 3rd Avenue North – On Goodlette-Frank Road between Central Avenue and 3rd Avenue North expect southbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes through approximately Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, while crews performing construction at the Neighborhood Health Clinic, 121 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples, add curbing and other needed items next to the roadway. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.
