FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROAD ALERT

This ROAD ALERT was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects, weather permitting, along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.

COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

 

Location:

10th Street North and Cooper Drive Intersection

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week, for approximately one week

Advisory:

Intersection is CLOSED

 

Detour has been posted

 

Advance warning signs and barricades being used

Reason:

Crews performing utility and roadway improvements as part of the West Goodlette-Frank Road Joint Stormwater-Sewer Project

 

 

Location:

5th Avenue North between Vanderbilt Drive and US 41

Time:

Both daytime and overnight hours, for approximately nine months

Advisory:

Expect intermittent lane closures reducing traffic at times to ONE LANE ONLY

 

Flagmen to be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs and barricades

Reason:

Crews performing a utility renewal project in Naples Park

 

 

Location:

Collier Boulevard between 27th Avenue SW and Golden Gate Parkway

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, March 11 through Thursday, March 14

Advisory:

Expect northbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes to one lane

 

Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Crews replacing guardrail

 

 

Location:

Immokalee Road and Laurel Lakes Boulevard Intersection

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, March 22

Advisory:

Expect intermittent lane closures in all directions

 

Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades to be used

Reason:

Crews performing maintenance on traffic signal poles

 

 

Location:

Immokalee Road between Maverick Lane and 8th Street NW, near Collier Charter Academy entrance

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week, for approximately two weeks

Advisory:

Expect westbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes

 

Electronic message signs, advance warning signs, lighted arrow boards, and barricades to be used

Reason:

Public utility crews continuing installation of a force main

 

 

Location:

Livingston Road at Enterprise Avenue

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday, March 29

Advisory:

Expect northbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes

 

Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Crews performing stormwater system maintenance

 

 

Location:

Livingston Road at Progress Avenue

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday, March 29

Advisory:

Expect northbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes

 

Flagmen, as needed, electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Crews performing stormwater system maintenance

 

 

Location:

Morningside Drive from US 41 to Hilltop Drive

Time:

9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 11

Advisory:

Expect traffic to be reduced to ONE LANE ONLY

 

Flagmen, advance warning signs, and barricades to be used

Reason:

Crews milling and resurfacing the roadway

 

 

Location:

Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard Intersection

Time:

OVERNIGHT FROM 8 p.m. – 6 a.m., through Friday, March 15, with final completion in about two months

Advisory:

Intermittent lane closures

 

Flagmen, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Installation of stormwater drainage structures and piping, extending eastbound through lane by 2,000 feet, widening intersection to include dual left turn lanes for westbound to southbound traffic as part of the Pine Ridge Road at Logan Boulevard Intersection Improvements Project

 

 

Location:

Radio Road at Corporate Square/Bonnie Street

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week, through mid-April

Advisory:

Expect the westbound left turn lane through the median to remain closed

 

Advance warning signs and barricades are in place

Reason:

Traffic study

 

 

Location:

Rattlesnake Hammock Road between St. Andrews Boulevard and Grand Lely Drive

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday, March 29

Advisory:

Expect eastbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to two lanes

 

Flagmen, as needed, along with electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Crews performing stormwater system maintenance

 

 

Location:

Ridge Street between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week, for approximately five months

Advisory:

CLOSED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC

 

Flagmen, as needed, along with electronic message signs, advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Crews continuing utility work and roadway improvements for the West Goodlette-Frank Road Joint Stormwater-Sewer Project

 

 

Location:

Vanderbilt Drive between 91st Avenue North and 106th Avenue North

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week (project completion expected end of July)

Advisory:

This roadway segment is CLOSED; for the remainder of the project area on Vanderbilt Drive between 101st Avenue North and 102nd Avenue North, ONLY LOCAL TRAFFIC IS BEING PERMITTED

 

Advance warning signs and barricades are in place

Detour:

6th Street N. has been posted as the detour route

Reason:

Installation of new water mains and stormwater drainage structures

 

 

WORK BY OTHERS:

 

 

Location:

Airport Road south of Pine Ridge Road at Sanchez Casal Way (formerly Clubhouse Drive)

Time:

9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 11

Advisory:

Expect right through lane on Airport-Pulling Road to be closed north and south of the intersection; expect eastbound turning lane on Sanchez Casal Way to be closed, traffic will be able to make right turn from adjacent through lane

 

Flagmen to be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades

Reason:

FPL contractor working on FPL power pole

 

 

Location:

Mainsail Drive at Collier Boulevard

Time:

24 hours per day/seven days per week through Thursday, April 4

Advisory:

Expect eastbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes to one lane

 

Electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades to be used

Reason:

Crew working for City of Marco installing a new water main

 

 

Location:

Pine Street between US 41 and Jackson Avenue

Time:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 27

Advisory:

CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC

 

Flagmen to be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs, and barricades

Reason:

Utility crews working on water main
