Jamie joined Collier County Government in 2003 and serves as the Deputy Department Head for the Growth Management Department (GMD). Jamie provides direct oversight to five divisions within GMD, which include Financial Operations and Regulatory Management; Land Development, Engineering, Environmental Review and Permitting; Building Plan Review, Permitting and Inspections; Zoning and Comprehensive Planning; Contractors Licensing and Code Enforcement, with a combined total operating budget of greater than 75 million dollars and more than 380 full-time, job bank and contract employees.

Formerly from Broward County, Florida, Jamie's family has resided in Collier County for nearly forty years. Jamie has a Master of Business Administration and holds numerous certifications in Utility Regulation Studies and Lean Six Sigma, with over twenty-five years of professional leadership experience. He is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM),  FEMA Incident Command Systems instructor, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), American Planning Association (APA), Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), Florida Floodplain Managers Association (FFMA), and Contractor's Licensing Association of Florida (CLOAF).

As a result of the continued collaborative efforts with community and industry partners, coupled with ever-changing economic fluctuations, Jamie's focus on customer service, efficiency, quality assurance, team building, and exceeding client and community expectations have resulted in numerous project success. While under his purview, the Growth Management Department earned the National Association of Counties Achievement Award for Building Permit Review Standards: Managing Expectations in 2014, Land Development Review: Exceeding Client Expectations in 2015 and Brilliant Ideas at Work, Using Real-Time Data to Create an Accessible Inspections Environment in 2017.

After hours, as an alum of Growing Associates in Naples 2009 and Leadership Collier 2012, Jamie served as a Chairman of Leadership Collier Education and Advocacy Committee 2011 - 2017, Leadership Collier Class Vice-Chairperson 2018, Leadership Collier Class Chairperson 2019 and serves on the Leadership Collier Board of Directors. He was honored with the 2014 Excellence in Public Service Award by Naples Daily News and Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Leadership Collier Foundation. He participates with numerous community not-for-profits organizations and volunteers with the Collier County Special Olympics, annual Farm City BBQ and flew four missions with the Collier County Honor Flight.
