The Collier County Airport Authority was established by the Board of County Commissioners, Collier County on June 22, 1993 pursuant to Section 332.08, Florida Satutes, and the following creation documents:
The Collier County Airport Authority was created to oversee the development and management of three publicly owned general aviation airports: the Marco Island Executive Airport, Immokalee Regional Airport, and Everglades Airpark. Its mission is to operate and develop these publicly owned assets for the benefit of the citizens and taxpayers.
