Do I need a permit to erect / replace a fence?
Yes. A fence permit is required for all work done in conjunction with the erection/replacement of any fence. Simply come to the Lobby and fill out the Application and include 2 copies of a site plan showing where the fence is going to be placed.
How long does it take for permit issuance?

As of September 12, 2018, the timeframe for Permit issuance is:

- Commercial Permits - approximately 23 business days

- Residential Permits - approximately 15 business days

- 1-day Permits - approximately 1-2 business days

The best way to get a proper answer would be for you to bring in the legal description of the property and speak with a Customer Service Agent in Zoning. They will look up the property and give the correct setbacks from the Zoning map.
