Deputy County Manager Nick Casalanguida
Mr. Casalanguida joined Collier County government in 2004 with more than 15 years experience as a principal in a Massachusetts-based engineering, surveying and consulting firm. He has taken on progressively more challenging roles and on March 10, 2015, was confirmed by the Board of Collier County Commissioners to be the Deputy County Manager.
Under County Manager Leo Ochs’ direction, Mr. Casalanguida serves as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for management and oversight of all aspects of agency operations and finances. He also assists the County Manager at the corporate level in the execution of the Board of Collier County Commissioners’ strategic plan, as well as guiding and assisting the senior leadership team in the execution of department and division business plans and programs.

I look forward to bringing some of those ideas to this new position and I am honored the County Manager has placed his faith in me to do this job,” said Mr. Casalanguida.
Mr. Casalanguida has served as a project manager, planning director and deputy administrator in the Growth Management Department after joining Collier County in 2004. He was promoted to the position of Growth Management Department Director in 2012.
Mr. Casalanguida holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Hodges University. In addition, he is a Certified Public Manager through Florida State University’s Center for Public Management.
