Description:

  • Tree with light green leaves;
  • Greenish-yellow flowers;
  • Foot-long, hanging, brown pods.

Habitat:

  1. Pinelands and hamocks of Collier, Lee, Broward, and Dade Counties

Reasons it should be removed:

  1. Invades pinelands, hammocks, and disturbed areas.

Method of removal:

  1. Hand pull seedlings;
  2. Chainsaw mature trees and treat stump with commercially available herbicide.
