    Requesting a CO (Certificate of Occupancy) or CC (Certification of Completion)

    NOTE: All Permits, without exception, require a CO or CC.

    • When: After all required inspections have been successfully completed.
    • Where: Come in person to the permitting office to request the Certificate of Occupancy.
    • Why: So power can be permanently installed, and the permit file can be closed.
    • Fees: All outstanding fees shall be paid at this time and the Mandatory Solid Waste fee, if applicable, will be levied.

    • A signed and sealed Compaction report, which includes the Permit Number, is required prior to a CO (Certificate of Occupancy) being issued.
    • Resolve Compaction Test conditions and send related reports by email to CompactionTest@colliercountyfl.gov

    Elevation Certificate Conditions

    • Obtain an Elevation Certificate from a certified land surveyor.
    • Submit signed Under Construction and Finished Construction Elevation Certificates, as follows:
      • Digitally signed Under Construction and Finished Construction Elevation Certificates should be emailed to: BuildingFloodDocs@colliercountyfl.gov; or
      • Original hard copy Under Construction and Finished Construction Elevation Certificates should be submitted in person at the Flood Map Information desk and must contain a raised seal or wet signature.

    This form must accompany any permit (address) adding a structure (pool, shed, etc.) that does not require a Stormwater Management Permit, (any zoning that is not in a PUD, or does not have a South Florida Water Management Permit).
