Our spectacular beaches and parks serve as the backdrop for a broad range of special events and programs that Collier County Parks and Recreation proudly offers throughout the year for residents and visitors alike.

Margood Harbor Arts & Music Festival - 10am-4pm
The Harbor Arts & Music Festival is a juried fine arts festival with a limited - and coveted - amount of booth spaces. Along with notable artists, the festival also hosts vendors of delicious local foods and displays from area environmental and cultural non-profits. The venue, MarGood Harbor Park, is the latest jewel in the crown of Collier Parks and Recreation. Because of it's historic and environmental significance, the property was purchased with Florida Forever funds in 2005. Today native landscaping and lovely walkways wrap around a charming harbor-front, the park also boasts a large open-air pavilion, and a museum/exhibition hall.

Lifeguard Training - 9am-3:30pm
Sign up online or in person at your nearest park location.  You must be 15 years old.  In addition, you must be able to swim.  You must attend all classes (30 hours) and pass all tests at the end of the training to receive the First-Aid/CPR/AED/Lifeguard Certification. Cost for training is $175.  Online code is 14681

Patrick’s Day 5k Fun Run & Walk $10 - 7am-12pm

First 50 participants to sign up will receive an event t-shirt. Participants are encouraged to dress up in St. Patrick’s themed outfits, for a chance to win best dressed prizes (Best individual outfit and best duo or group.) Check in begins at 7:00am and the race starts at 8:00am sharp! Ages 13 and older

Collier County "Funny Bunny" Easter Event $2 - 6pm-8pm
This is an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by our very own "Funny Bunny AKA "SHIRO" the Gator, Collier County’s Park Mascot. Candy filled eggs will be hidden just waiting to be found! Nothing says Easter in Florida like a "funny bunny" host. Shiro will make a special appearance and be available for photos. Bring your own camera to take a picture with the "Funny Bunny".

We will be providing a fun and creative way to learn how to be SAFE around all bodies of water visiting our different Safety Stations! In addition, EMS will be there to demonstrate proper CPR for both parents and children. Don’t forget to bring your cameras, because the famous Stewie, the duck will be there! Ages 6 months and older
