CAT is proposing changes to the routes 22 & 23 and needs your input to make the routes successful. CAT has conducted 4 public meeting seeking public feedback on the proposed changes. The original set of meetings in 2016 were conducted to obtain information from the community requesting locations of origin and destination and most recently July 25th the proposed route changes were presented. The public that attended spoke positively of the changes proposed. A third set of public meetings is still being taken into consideration.
Description of service and changes
Currently, Both routes travel on the same road ways but heading the opposite direction but to able to service additional areas within Immokalee without extending the travel time for passengers it is being proposed to separate the routes. Route 22 will travel on the east side of Immokalee and Route 23 on the west with a connection at the Health Department. As a result of the proposed changes to the routing, we will be able to provide an additional hour of service within Immokalee. From the initial timing of the routes, they will be on a 60 min loop.
