An Open House was held on April 10, 2017 at the Golden Gate Community Center which featured the 60% plans and plant palettes for two Collier County arterial roadways.
As part of the Collier County Landscape Beautification Master Plan, the following projects are scheduled for design and installation this year.
Collier Boulevard (US 41 East to Marino Circle) 5 milesThe plans were designed by McGee and Associates, Landscape Architecture and will feature larger palms and flowering trees at the intersection of US 41 East and Collier Blvd. which is designated as a gateway to Marco Island.

Santa Barbara Boulevard (Davis Blvd. to the Bridge at I 75) 1.5 miles
The plans were designed by Johnson Engineering Inc. and feature a mixture of canopy trees, palms, flowering trees and groundcover which will blend with the surrounding communities and adhere to the Florida Friendly landscape principles.
Immokalee Road (Collier Blvd. to Wilson Blvd.) 5 miles
The plans were prepared by Goetz & Stropes.A public meeting was held on April 19, 2017 at the University of Florida - Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) and showcased the Florida Friendly Design for Immokalee Road between Collier Blvd. and Wilson Blvd.
Davis Boulevard (County Barn Road to Santa Barbara Blvd) .76 miles
The plans are being prepared by McGee and Associates Landscape Architecture and are in the 60% stage of design. This is a Florida Department of Transportation grant funded project.
