The Collier County Observation Area was established in 2009. At an elevation of 104 feet, it is currently the highest point in Collier County. From this point you can view all of the operations of the Collier County Landfill, to include the Gas to Energy Facility, the garbage trucks dumping on top of the active garbage hill and the Waste Management maintained construction and demolition area. Additionally, you can even view the condos on Naples’ beaches over 9 miles away from this point. The Collier County Landfill Observation Area is located on top of a closed garbage hill.
