Did you know recycling by businesses is mandatory here in Collier County? In 2015, a total of 221,455 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) was buried in the Landfill. More than half, (126,441 tons) originated from the commercial sector. The commercial recycling rate for Collier County stands at 65%, a significantly smaller percentage compared to the current Collier County residential recycling recovery rate of 67%, multi family 27% .
