Removing Barriers to Recycling in the Workplace

Recycling is mandatory for businesses in Collier County.  Collier County's Recycling Ordinance requires businesses and institutions in the unincorporated areas of Collier County, in the city of Everglades City, and in the city of Marco Island to recycle as many designated recyclable materials as practicable.  The City of Naples also mandates recycling by businesses.

Recycling may allow you to reduce the size of your garbage container or the frequency of its collection.  Since garbage rates are based on size of the container and how often it's emptied, reducing either of these reduces your collection cost.

Starting a Recycling Program Help

Have you considered starting a recycling program at your workplace only to be faced with numerous obstacles?

If the answer is yes, your business may benefit from a recycling-waste assessment. Most businesses can reduce the size of its trash dumpster and/or the frequency of its trash collection by implementing a simple reduce, reuse, and recycle program. By replacing commonly perceived obstacles with manageable solutions, your workplace can easily start a waste reduction and recycling program.

To schedule a recycling-waste assessment for your workplace, contact a Recycling Coordinator at 239-252-2508 or by email.
