The 4-H Program, run by the Collier County University Extension Service, includes several water-related education programs for various age groups;

  • Earth Connections (Grades K-6) Introduction to Environmental Basics, emphasizing the unique relationship between soil, air, water and the impact on humans;

  • Water Wise Guys (Grades 3-6) teaches the importance of water, the water cycle, water usage, and water conservation;

  • Aquatic Marine Ecosystems (Grades 4-9) teaches by hands on methods about aquatic and marine ecosystems.

Know the Flow is a hands-on lecture/demonstration given to interested groups of all ages on the impact neighborhoods and the personal habits and choices of people living there have on the quality of stormwater runoff. This is a program of the Big Cypress Basin/ South Florida Water Management District.
