Why isn't more road work done at night?
Road work is done both during daylight and night time hours. Some work that would affect travel lanes (such as open cutting the road to install drainage and other utilities) is best done in off hours to have less impact on traffic. There are many variables that determine how much work can be done at night, such as safety, noise, availability of labor, cost and availability of County personnel.
